Mystic Mural Program Ribbon Cutting
Temple St & Mystic Ave, Somerville, MA
If you’ve ever traveled down Mystic Avenue, you’ve seen the Mystic Mural—a 30-year, revolving display of youth creativity and ode to local environment. To celebrate the latest installation, Somerville Arts and Culture (SAC) invites community members to a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 27, at 3 p.m. on the corner of Temple St. and Mystic Ave. Initiated in 1996 by former SAC Director, Cecily Miller, the Mystic Mural Program creates a space where students from all backgrounds can create, learn, and contribute to the vibrancy of their community. During the ceremony attendees will view the 2026 mural and hear from Mayor Wilson and David Fichter. Reception to follow at the Mystic Activity Center (530 Mystic Ave.).
