Broadway Magoun Reconstruction Project Updated Design Open House

At the open house, we will showcase the updated design with more details about the proposed new street elements and a decision about the Magoun Square intersection (Broadway at Medford Street). Using the community input we heard this spring, we developed a more refined and detailed design to bring to community members this fall. Community members can come learn about the updated design and different aspects of the project, talk directly with project team members and share further feedback and questions. Drop in any time during the event to review materials and talk with City staff. Food and refreshments will be provided. More details: The City of Somerville is planning to reconstruct sidewalks, repave, and redesign Broadway between Winchester Street and Central Street to improve safety, accessibility, and sustainability. In the spring, we published concept designs that included protected bike lanes in both directions, raised crosswalks, new crosswalks, upgraded bus stops, and three options for the Magoun intersection.
