Multi-Site Exhibition Tour: Alfonso Ossorio: Line and Lineage and Knowledge Is Myth: Chimeric Continuities

Join Ally Cirelli, curator of Alfonso Ossorio: Line and Lineage (October 23, 2026–April 11, 2027) at the Harvard Art Museums, and Danni Shen, curator of Knowledge Is Myth: Chimeric Continuities (October 1–December 13, 2026) at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, for a multi-site tour of the two interconnected exhibitions. At the Harvard Art Museums exhibition, we will explore the experimental processes of modern artist Alfonso Ossorio and work by contemporary artists Enzo Camacho and Ami Lien that respond to his artistic legacy in the Philippines. Continuing to the Carpenter Center, we will view more works by Ossorio, Camacho, and Lien as well as other artists from Southeast Asia working with mythology. Throughout the tour, Cirelli and Shen will highlight the intergenerational connections made by these artists through material experimentation.
