Gallery Talk: On Location: Drawing the Outdoors

Join us for a talk in the galleries of the special exhibition On Location: Drawing the Outdoors, where curatorial assistant Meghan Grady will discuss the various optical devices used by 19th-century European artists. Led by: Meghan Grady, Curatorial Assistant for Special Exhibitions and Publications, Division of European and American Art On Location: Drawing the Outdoors features drawings by J. M. W. Turner, John Constable, Gustave Courbet, Edouard Manet, Berthe Morisot, Paul Cézanne, and Vincent van Gogh, among many others. The exhibition is on view from September 18, 2026 to January 17, 2027. Funding for the exhibition and related programming was provided by the Stanley H. Durwood Foundation Support Fund, the Stanley H.
