Scrolling Alone?…Or Walking Together? Our religious ancestors imagined the spiritual life as a shared journey, or pilgrimage. They spoke of religious community as the act of “walking together” along life’s journey. Their communal vision stands in contrast to our own lonely age, one that is often characterized by “scrolling alone.” What if, instead of scrolling alone, we learned once again how to walk together in community?
