Nuala Kennedy is one of Ireland's more beloved traditional singers whose repertoire ranges from starkly powerful ancient Irish language songs to singalong ballads and thoughtful folk songs. Alan Murray is a sought-after accompanist on guitar and bouzouki who also performs songs from his native Scotland. This concert will showcase some new music inspired by the Celtic Calendar, as well as some well-known songs and tunes guaranteed to lift the spirits. World renowned traditional singer and flute player Nuala Kennedy grew up playing Irish music in Dundalk, County Louth and now lives in Ennis, County Clare with her Appalachian singer husband A. J.
