Join us for the culmination and cabaret creation of the Broadway: Agent of Change class. This class will look at how musicals brought about change in the musical and theater worlds and how they affected the larger society. This final musical theater production is designed by the students in the class with a goal to introduce something socially, culturally, and morally important to their audience. The production will include songs and ensembles from the musicals studied but also researching pieces from other shows is encouraged to be included in the final cabaret performance. Studio Stage Series Studio Stage is your chance to experience the thrill of discovery. Here, emerging artists take the stage to share their ideas, test their creativity, and invite you into their artistic journey. Each performance features Longy students presenting works in progress, a core part of their training and an expression of Longy’s academic and performance mission. These performances are alive with the energy and excitement of music in the making, and you get to be there as the next generation of musicians finds its voice.
