Main Stage | Alash | Ma Alash | Master Throat Singers from Tuva, the homeland of Khöömei Three master throat singers (xöömeizhi) from Tuva, a tiny republic in the heart of Inner Asia, ALASH stays grounded in xöömei, the ancient art developed among the nomadic herdsmen of the region, while carrying it somewhere new. Featuring guitar, the Russian bayan, and new harmonies and song structures drawn from the West, all alongside traditional Tuvan instruments.
