6:15-7 drink, chill, and chat! There is a cafe with plenty of great food and drink options to purchase, as well as time to meet new people and chill with your friends pre-show! There will also be a sign-up sheet upon entering for performers so you can list where in the set you would like to perform. Again, ANY act is welcome (singing, poetry, instrumentals, dancing, improv, stand up, doing a handstand, sea shantys, etc. etc. — we encourage you to be as whimsy as you would like and to experiment and try something new if this is your first time!) 7-9:30 OPEN MIC event! We will kick off with our first performance at 7PM and each artist will have a max of 5 minutes of stage time to use as they wish (with the exception of setting the stage on fire or bringing a drumset). You do not have to use the full five minutes, but after the 5 minutes are over, we will [casually] nudge you off stage. This is to ensure that all individuals are given the opportunity to perform, no one gets too bored, and there is a variety of arts we all get to witness … You are also allowed to have a max of 3 people on the stage at once if you would like to perform something with your friends!
