This class reviews cross-body lead and covers inside turn, half right turn, and cumbia turns, combining them with basic right and left turns. Partnering technique is emphasized focusing on proper hand/arm hold and placement. Freestyle footwork and musicality is also introduced. Salsa is a musical and dance style that originated in Cuba with African roots and European influences. It later developed in New York and it’s popular throughout Latin America in places like Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru and Cuba just to name a few.
